Short biography

After secondary school, Patricia studied Computer Science at Ghent University (Belgium), where she obtained a M.Sc. degree in 2005. In October 2005, she joined the Fuzziness & Uncertainty Modelling Research Unit. From January 2006 to December 2010, her research was supported by a Ph.D. grant of the Institute for the Promotion of Innovation through Science and Technology in Flanders (IWT-Vlaanderen). In June 2010, she defended her Ph.D. thesis on trust-enhanced recommender systems. From July through December 2010, she was a postdoctoral researcher at the CWI team.
